Start with the Specter Werkes GTR. Developed in 1998, the GTR left C5 owners breathless. Once again, merging race inspired performance and knowledge, Specter Werkes put the C5 on steroids. Building on the C5's existing good looks, Specter Werkes designers massaged the C5 silhouette into a hefty 77" wide car. Adding a full six inches to the rear width and three to the front allowed for an aggressive "coke bottle" shape through the middle. With integrated ground-effects rockers, a molded in rear spoiler, hi-rise hood and C5R inspired headlights, the GTR immediately grabbed the attention of major publications and Corvette enthusiasts alike.

In keeping with solid design philosophies, Specter Werkes went back to the drawing board to develop the Group 5 collection. Inspired by the success and popularity of the GTR, Group 5 components allow C5 owners to capture the GTR's styling queues without the expense or build-out involved in the handcrafted version. The result was a beautiful add-on ground effects package that included a lower front chin, side rockers, rear lower air deflectors and a full fascia with a molded in spoiler. Group 5 has proven to be one of the most popular after-market body packages available for the C5.

As customers asked for more, Specter Werkes brought them more... three high-performance hood choices and two variations of exposed headlamps including the popular C5R Le Mans style racing lamps.
