Frequently Asked Questions About the GTR

What colors are available?

All GTRs are painted using PPG Global products. Color is no problem. Our in-house design staff will work with you to select the proper components and styling queues to assure your GTR is distinctive and a reflection of your personality and taste.

Can I order my GTR with components featured on other GTR models?

Absolutely. Again, our experts will gladly guide you in all phases of planning your car. We want your GTR to be a once in a lifetime experience from the time you place your order to the first time you turn the key.

Can I buy the GTR as a kit?

The GTR is a hand assembled vehicle. As a commitment to our customers and the GTR program, only cars built by Specter Werkes can display the GTR badge. Each car is numbered and registered here at Specter Werkes. To be sure that each GTR represents a sound purchase and one that will retain its value, we will not sell the package in kit form.

I already own a low mileage C5. Will Specter Werkes convert my present car or do I have to buy a new one?

Your current C5 will be fine. However, make sure the car's condition is "like new." If your car is showing signs of wear mechanically or to the interior, you might want to consider purchasing a new one.

Will Specter Werkes perform engine enhancements to my existing C5?

Yes. Our engine turners can help you get the most out of your LS1 or LS6 with a variety of engine tuning packages. Feel free to inquire about upgrading your cars performance.

Do I have to buy the GTR from a Chevy dealer?

No. While we encourage people to work with our dealers, you are able to buy your car directly from Specter Werkes. If you do not have a C5, we will gladly help you locate one.

How long does it take to get a GTR?

From the time we receive your deposit it typically takes about 6 weeks. Please note, however, that some options and paint processes may add to that time frame. Also, certain engine upgrades do leave us at the mercy of suppliers and may also add to delivery time.

Does the GTR come with a warranty?

Yes. The GTR has a 24 month warranty against defects of parts and workmanship. This warranty applies to any work or modification made to the car by Specter Werkes. For other claims you should consult your Chevrolet dealer.
